This might be my favorite. I'm kinda obsessed with this one. And it's not because Lady Gaga is obsessed with it as well!
It's surprising I find it this delicious given my background in Japanese teas. Sumimasen Japanese people!
The green almost fluorescent color of this drink is interesting enough for you to try it. And it's not as sweet as I thought it would be. The umami flavor of the matcha blends well with the sweetness and acidity of the lemonade!
Oh, did I forget this lemonade packs quite a kick! Matcha is a high caffeine tea so this drink has almost as much caffeine as a regular cup of coffee!
For a tall size (12 oz):
This is the first of the lemonade Starbucks refreshers on our list! If you're unsure what Starbucks refreshers are, just scroll down, we got you covered!
The kiwi starfruit lemonade is another great looking green beverage.
As all refreshers, this is a caffeinated drink (but not as much as the matcha lemonade!) It contains lemonade, kiwi starfruit refreshers base, freeze dried kiwi and ice.
By the way, the freeze dried fruits in refreshers are called inclusions.
For a tall size (12 oz):
This is another Starbucks refresher drink. It's made with lemonade, strawberry acai Starbucks refreshers base, freeze dried strawberries and ice.
Even though acais berries are deemed a superfruit this doesn't mean this is a healthy drink! A 12 oz serving has 24 grams of sugar. You can reduce sugar by asking for 'light lemonade' or just getting the Strawberry Açaí refresher without lemonade. It has 16g of sugar.
For a tall size (12 oz):
This is one of the most exotic drinks Starbucks has to offer. It looks like some fancy cocktail you would order by the beach.
If you've never tried this lemonade before, you're in for a surprise. While you sip this drink, close your eyes and let the tropical flavors of mango and starfruit quench your thirst.
And since it's a refresher, you will get that caffeine boost which is much needed to get through those hot summer afternoon work meetings (after having a large lunch).
For a tall size (12 oz):
This is the Starbucks drink that will fulfill all your strawberry lemonade dreams. The sweet and tangy flavors of this icy drink are guaranteed to melt your thirst away!
The blended strawberry lemonade is made of lemonade, creme frappuccino syrup, strawberry sauce and ice. The consistency of this drink is similar to a slushy.
This drink is honestly not the healthiest, but it's a very nice occasional treat, especially for the kids.
For a tall size (12 oz):
So there is something called the Starbucks Secret Menu. Basically, it's a list of drinks that are not on the official menu, but Starbucks baristas and fans have developed over time.
Please be nice to your barista when ordering these. By nice I mean showing them the recipe of the drink you want! You should not expect them to know how to prepare these Secret Menu drinks!
Back to the Springtime lemonade, this is one of the most beautiful drinks out there. It is light pink - almost white - at the top of the cup, and at the bottom it is of strawberry color. It's got this amazing ombre effect from top to bottom.
This impressive lemonade features flavors of raspberry and strawberry acai juice.
Given this is a customized drink we are unable to provide nutrition stats. Sorry!
How to order the springtime lemonade you ask? It's simple!
Here's another impressive looking drink for you.
It of course features an ombre effect, and it is of raspberry color on top, and at the bottom yellowish or orange (from the lemonade, green tea and raspberry sauce mixing).
As the name implies, this raspberry is caffeinated so it's perfect as an afternoon pick-me-up. It's also perfect to impress your friends (or anyone who sees you with it).
To order Low Calorie Raspberry Green Tea Lemonade:
Since this is a customized drink we can’t provide nutrition stats. Sorry! But regarding the 'low calorie' claim, to give you an idea, a venti iced green tea has 0 calories, and a venti iced green tea lemonade has 70 calories. Since you're asking for 'light lemonade' the calorie count would be somewhere in between.
Here are some tips for ya!
Refreshers are beverages based on Starbucks green coffee extract (which is being used in the new Starbucks energy drink). This means all refreshers have caffeine. Starbucks refreshers also have something called inclusions, which are freeze dried fruit that I absolutely love!
A Starbucks refresher can be made into lemonade by, well…adding lemonade to it! If you want to know more, check our post about the best Starbucks refreshers!
You can request for a straw-less lid, or bring your own reusable cup. If you do this, Starbucks will give you a discount on your drink, no matter what Starbucks cup size you bring!
Reusable cups have a few advantages:
Here are a few options for you. First we have a see-through basic tumbler.
Or how about this fancy kaleidoscope tumbler. You'll surely stand out with this one!
Or perhaps this even more impressive glow in the dark tumbler? Walking around at night with this one will definitely turn some heads!
You can buy starbucks lemonades at your local starbucks store. Just go there, ask for a lemonade drink and then enjoy it! Lemonades should be available all year round but some flavors are seasonal and sometimes never come back (e.g. Mango Black Tea Lemonade).
Lemonade is a refreshing drink, it's true. But how does that actually happen? How can drinking lemonade make you feel less thirsty than before?
Lemonade is an acidic drink, and acidic, or sour drinks, stimulate salivation. This salivation wets your mouth, giving you the impression of hydration. Note that quenching thirst is not the same as hydration!
Random Trivia: Did you know American settlers used to drink vinegar water to cool off?
Of course it does. They have iced coffees, including decaf iced coffees, iced teas and refreshers.
Starbucks does not have a sugar-free or unsweetened lemonade. The only option for people looking to reduce the sugar content is to ask for 'light lemonade.'
Starbucks lemonade is a blend of water, lemon juice, sugar, lemon oil and ice. The proportions are of course secret, so we can only give you the ingredients.
All refresher lemonades and 'iced tea' lemonades contain caffeine.
If you're looking for a lemonade with lots of caffeine go for the Iced Matcha Lemonade. Not only is it delicious, but a venti size has 110 mg of caffeine.
